On the “Oh Shit” front, Nate told me very pedantically with emphatic hand gestures that it is OK to say “F**k” when you have a driving problem. I felt really bad knowing that I was the one swearing and having driving problems, but didn’t want to overreact so I said, “OK, but lets not tell your grandparents or teachers about this.”

I am stoked that you finally updated this between baking savory tarts and kindermusik. I figure that I can give up an email from you a day (of the 20 or so), so that you might update this blog. Mostly because I like reading it. Also, when he outgrows the My Mom Rocks shirt (that he got with Abe so they are twins), can we have it b/c Abe is about to outgrow his? Come visit soon please

I am so glad read about you guys. I was checking Erin’s blog and almost didnt click on your but then thought maybe there is a new post! It sounds like Bennet and Dagim are up to the same two year old antics. The fits, throwing food, nothing short of obsession with their toothbrush, gosh I love 2 year olds! Really, it has been so fun to see him grow and change. I cant believe what a difference 6 months can make, i’m sure dagim is a different boy than he was in Ethiopia, I know Bennet is. Glad your doing well. keep the post coming!

Shasta is leaving out the part about how she bakes savory tarts and a week’s worth of scones on Sunday afternoons. And how she so casually figured out how to professionalize my teaching license (and therefore get me another nine years of certification). And how she’s become this graceful Montessori mother who doesn’t say “Oh shit” nearly as much as she did two years ago. I come home and she and Dagim are dancing in the kitchen (or, every once in a while, Dagim is hopping up and down and S. is collapsed on the couch with a blanket on her lap). Sometimes it seems to me that the one thing she ISN’T capable of doing is updating a blog. She seems to do everything else.
